Railway officials say that replacement bogies (coaches) will be connected in place of the fire-damaged carriage. Ambala Cantt station has taken particular arrangements for this. Three additional coaches have been ordered from Chandigarh and will be connected to the Garib Rath train, according to Ambala Division officials. The train will be ready to continue its journey as soon as the replacement bogies are fitted.

According to the preliminary inquiry, a short circuit was the cause of the incident, according to Vinod Bhatia, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of Ambala Division. The track will soon be put into service, he said, adding that passenger safety is the top priority.
A number of express trains experienced delays.

Stranded Passengers at Stations
The passengers have experienced significant inconvenience as a result of the train’s delay. In Sirhind and the neighbouring districts, a significant number of passengers are stuck at stations. Families of several passengers are waiting on the platforms. In addition to experiencing issues with food and drink, passengers complained that they were not receiving accurate information about the incident.

The afflicted passengers should be given water and light meals, according to directives from the railway administration. In order to get traffic back to normal as soon as possible, relief and repair work is moving quickly.
