2 Drug Smugglers Arrested in Jalandhar: 4 kg Opium, Drug Money, and Scorpio Seized; Several Previous Cases Against the Accused.
Two drug smugglers, four kilograms of opium, eleven thousand rupees in drug money, two bags, and a Scorpio automobile have all been taken into custody by Jalandhar Rural Police. Information on the case has been supplied by Jalandhar Rural Police SSP Harwinder Singh Virk.
Inspector Pushp Bali led the CIA staff in taking the action, according to SSP Harwinder Singh Virk. Near the Bolina Gate in Adda hamlet, the team spotted a suspiciously parked Scorpio (PB10 HA 3949). Cash and opium were found in the car during the search. Both of the offenders were apprehended by the police right away.
Numerous criminal cases were already filed against both of them.
Sandeep Singh, alias Sukhwa (40), a resident of Shimlapuri, Ludhiana, and Gurdeep Singh, alias Gopi (36), a resident of Gill village, Ludhiana, have been identified as the arrested accused. During the investigation, it was discovered that Gurdeep Singh was already the subject of three criminal cases: two under the Arms Act and one under the NDPS Act.
24 Liquor Cases Were Recovered
In the meantime, Sandeep Singh is already facing a case pertaining to the recovery of 24 cases of spirits. According to SSP Harwinder Singh Virk, the procedure for filing a complaint against both defendants has begun. The authorities are attempting to determine the source of the opium supply and the intended buyer.
