Temple Attacked with Grenade in Khandwala, No Injuries Reported

Panic spread in Khandwala late Friday night when two men on a motorcycle threw a grenade at a temple.

CCTV footage shows the suspects attacking the temple around midnight. The explosion damaged a wall, but no one was hurt. A priest and his family, who live on the upper floor, were safe.

After the attack, senior police officers arrived and started an investigation. This is the first time a religious place has been targeted in the area. Previously, such attacks were aimed at police establishments.

This is the 12th grenade attack in the last four months.

Local leader Kiranpreet Singh condemned the incident, calling it an attempt to disturb peace in Punjab.
