Punjab School Education Department Faces Criticism Over Fake Transfer Orders: Data operators go viral

District Education Officers Misled by False Directives, Investigation Launched to Identify Source of Fraud

Confusion has erupted in the Punjab School Education Department due to the spread of fake transfer orders affecting 57 clerks-cum-data entry operators and sewadars. These fraudulent documents have gone viral on social media, creating widespread uncertainty among officials.

District Education Officers Misled by False Directives

Several District Education Officers (DEOs) mistakenly believed the fake orders were genuine and began implementing the transfers, relocating employees based on these misleading instructions. In response, the Director of the School Education Department issued an urgent warning to all DEOs to refrain from acting on these fraudulent orders.

Official Communication Channels Reinforced

On Wednesday, the director noted that some DEOs and school heads had already begun assigning employees to new locations according to the fake orders. In light of this, the Director General of School Education (DGSE) instructed all DEOs and school heads to disregard any transfer orders unless they are communicated officially through designated email channels. The DGSE emphasized the importance of verifying the authenticity of such orders before taking any action.

Investigation Launched to Identify Source of Fraud

Authorities are currently investigating the origin of the fake orders and are expected to take strict action against those responsible. Meanwhile, officials and employees have been advised to rely only on official communication to prevent further disruptions in the department’s operations and to report any suspicious communications immediately.
