Punjab Police Crack Down on Drugs, Raid 750 Locations in Statewide Operation

Punjab: Punjab Police have launched a major anti-drug operation across the state, conducting raids at 750 locations. This action comes a day after a high-level meeting with the government and the first meeting of the cabinet sub-committee on the drug menace.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has set a three-month deadline to make Punjab drug-free. Around 12,000 police personnel are involved in the operation, targeting drug peddlers. In some cases, authorities have also demolished properties linked to drug trafficking.

Cabinet Minister Aman Arora has urged all political parties to support the government’s anti-drug campaign instead of engaging in politics, emphasizing the need to work together to save Punjab from the drug crisis.
