Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann walks out of meeting with farmer leaders; SKM to proceed with March 5 protest.

Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann reportedly walked out of a meeting with Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM) leaders today. The meeting was called by the Punjab government to discuss farmers’ issues and convince them to cancel their March 5 protest.

However, SKM leaders said the CM did not listen to all their demands and left midway. Joginder Singh Ugrahan, president of BKU Ekta Ugrahan, claimed, “He didn’t hear us out and walked away.” Another leader, Balbir Singh Rajewal, said they had shared only eight out of 18 demands when the CM interrupted and left.

The meeting, which started 30 minutes late at 4:30 pm, ended by 6:15 pm. CM Mann later said he had urged farmers not to block roads, as it would harm Punjab’s interests. Despite this, SKM leaders have decided to go ahead with their protest on March 5.
