
On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a jungle safari at Gir National Park in Gujarat, home to the Asiatic lions, to mark World Wildlife Day.
After the safari, he chaired a meeting of the National Board for Wildlife at Sasan Gir.
Earlier, in a message on the occasion, PM Modi emphasized the importance of wildlife conservation.
He tweeted, On #WorldWildlifeDay, let’s reiterate our commitment to protecting and preserving the incredible biodiversity of our planet.
Every species plays a vital role—let’s safeguard their future for generations to come! We also take pride in India’s contributions towards preserving and protecting wildlife.
