Bengaluru: A well-known Kannada actress was caught at Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport with gold worth ₹12.56 crore. The incident took place when she arrived from a foreign country. During a routine security check, customs officials found the gold hidden in her luggage.
Authorities immediately seized the gold and took the actress for questioning. Investigators are trying to find out whether she was smuggling the gold or if she was carrying it for someone else.
The customs department has not yet revealed her name but confirmed that the case is under investigation.
