India is rapidly becoming the world’s manufacturing hub: PM Modi

India Becoming Global Manufacturing Hub: PM Modi, Indian Products Gaining Global Recognition

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Saturday that his “Vocal for Local” campaign is delivering results as Indian products are making their mark worldwide.

Speaking at the NXT conclave during the launch of ‘NewsX World’ channel, Modi said India was once seen as the world’s back office, but now it is emerging as a global manufacturing hub.

He emphasized that India is no longer just a workforce but a “world force.” The country is now producing semiconductors and aircraft carriers while its traditional products like ‘makhana’, millets, Ayush items, and yoga are gaining international acceptance.

India has also become a major automobile producer, and its defence exports are on the rise, he added.

Modi stressed that India should be portrayed as it is, without any external influence or modifications. He urged that real stories from the country should reach the world.

Referring to the BJP-led NDA’s third consecutive term, Modi said it reflects the people’s trust. He also expressed hope that the newly launched global news channel would help showcase India’s achievements to the world.

The prime minister highlighted India’s leadership in global events, including co-hosting the AI summit and presiding over the G20. He also cited the Maha Kumbh as an example of India’s strong organizational and innovative capabilities.

Modi mentioned his government’s efforts to repeal outdated laws, including a British-era law that criminalized gatherings of 10 or more dancers. Taking a dig at certain elite groups, he said they remained silent about such restrictive laws but often approach courts on other issues.
