Pandori Gola: Five members of a family lost their lives after the roof of their house collapsed while they were asleep. The incident took place around 4:30 am on Saturday, police said.
According to officials, the house was in a poor condition, and heavy waste materials stored on the roof added to its weight, leading to the collapse. Neighbors rushed the victims to the hospital, but doctors declared them dead on arrival.
Victims Identified, Bodies Sent for Postmortem
The deceased have been identified as Gobinda (40), his wife Amarjit Kaur (36), and their three children—Gurbaj Singh (14), Gurlaal (17), and Ekam (15). Their bodies have been sent for a postmortem examination, police confirmed.
Authorities have urged residents to ensure the safety of old structures to prevent such tragic incidents.
