To inspire and motivate primary schools in the district, the District Education Officer (Elementary) has announced plans to award schools that excel in various areas. School administrations have been given specific criteria to meet and will make presentations on Saturday.
Recognizing Excellence
District Education Officer Ravinder Kaur explained that this initiative aims to encourage schools to improve and address any shortcomings. Block primary education officers (BPEOs) have been asked to submit a list of at least two outstanding schools from each of the 19 blocks in the district. Presentations will take place on March 1, after which five schools will be selected to receive certificates and appreciation letters.
Criteria for Selection
The assessment will consider several factors, including improvements in school infrastructure, academic success, increased enrollment, co-curricular activities, sports achievements, teaching materials created by teachers, annual events, the quality of mid-day meals, and parent engagement.
Encouraging Participation
Schools will prepare reports and present their achievements on March 1 at the SSA Office. Many teachers and BPEOs are actively encouraging participation in this initiative, with a positive response to the department’s efforts to uplift the education system in government schools.
