Today, senior Congress leader and former Health Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu conducted an important meeting at his Phase-1 office with Congress workers from the villages of Mohali Assembly Constituency regarding the Block Samiti and Zila Parishad elections.

Balbir Sidhu held a large meeting with Panchs, Sarpanchs, former Sarpanchs, Zila Parishad and Block Samiti members, office bearers, and esteemed individuals of the Congress Party, including all Congress workers, Youth Congress, Mahila Congress, SC Cell, BC Cell, Mandal Presidents, Chairmen, and former Chairmen office bearers from the villages of the Mohali Rural Block. Sidhu declared that the Congress Party would win the Block Samiti and Zila Parishad elections by a wide margin.

This time, he attacked the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Central BJP Government, claiming that both are determined to ruin Punjab. He stated that the Central Government first introduced three black farm laws, which were later reinstated but have not yet been revoked. Their current goal is to take control of Chandigarh University. Punjab is experiencing upheaval as a result of the Central Government’s immoral activities.

In the Parliament’s Winter Session, Sidhu rejected the Central Government’s bill pertaining to Chandigarh, declaring that they would not permit the Central Government’s plot against Punjab to be carried out. He emphasized that only Punjab owns Chandigarh, which was constructed by uprooting 28 Punjabi villages. “We will not let our right go in vain.”

Sidhu referred to the Punjab government as the Center’s “B” team. He claimed that Bhagwant Mann is unable to speak up for Punjabi rights because he has turned into a puppet in Kejriwal’s clutches. According to him, their combined debt to Punjab is so great that it won’t be paid up in the next thirty to thirty-five years. They have accumulated four lakh crore rupees in debt against Punjab in just four years. Sidhu also accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of deceiving people in the name of religion in order to win votes.

Sidhu raised concerns about the BJP’s purported vote stealing, pointing out that the party initially produced 25 lakh fraudulent votes in Haryana. He then pointed out that although 7.45 crore votes were cast during the elections, Bihar has a total of 7.42 crore votes. “Now the question is, where did these 3 lakh votes come from?” He said that the BJP has taken control of all of India’s constitutional institutions, including the Election Commission, Supreme Court, CBI, Income Tax, and ED. Sidhu cautioned that by presenting atta-dal plans, they would deceive us. “If we do not take heed now, the future of our children will be in danger.”

Sidhu claimed that Punjab’s rights have been continuously targeted by the central government. Punjab is being pushed back by the BJP government as though its citizens have no say in the advancement of the nation. He reaffirmed the Congress’s commitment to upholding constitutional rights and bolstering all Punjabi voices.

Sidhu emphasized that the BJP is using division, hatred, and religion as the foundation for national politics. “The unity, constitution, and democracy of the country are being weakened.”

Balbir Sidhu attacked MLA Kulwant Singh, claiming that he hasn’t built any roads or schools or given a single penny in grants for the development of Mohali’s villages. He said that during the Congress party’s rule in Saneta, a hospital was built that was nearly finished but had not yet begun construction.

Sidhu expressed worries about Punjab’s law and order, stating that the state’s condition is steadily getting worse. Murders, thefts, and daylight robberies are occurring. He claimed that the Aam Aadmi Party incited such fear during the Tarn Taran Sahib constituency by-elections that voters were unable to support the Congress Party, even if they wished to.

In order to further fortify the Congress Party, Sidhu urged the populace to heed the advice of Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, and Punjab Congress President Amarinder Singh Raja Warring.

According to Sidhu, the Aam Aadmi Party has yet to deliver on its pledges to the women and people of Punjab. “They have not done development, but only advertisement.” In Punjab, gangsterism, drugs, and corruption have persisted.

In closing, he stated that the only party that has supported Punjab in the past and is capable of reviving the state’s economy, youth, farmers, industry, and security is the Congress. Sidhu urged the people to exercise their power to bring about political change in the near future for the sake of Punjab.

On Tuesday, a shocking instance of daytime hooliganism surfaced from Dera Bassi, Mohali. Outside the Sri Sukhmani Engineering College, a group of twenty to twenty-five young people surrounded and severely beat a student named Harsh Rana.

The student suffered severe head injuries in the attack, which was motivated by long-standing animosity, and has been sent to Chandigarh in critical condition. CCTV cameras in the area recorded the entire event.

Harsh was transported to the Civil Hospital in Dera Bassi by other students who were on the scene. After observing his grave condition, medical professionals treated him initially before sending him to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH-32), Chandigarh, where he is presently receiving treatment.

Attackers Recognized from Video
The video captured by the cameras outside the institution makes it evident how many young people attacked Harsh. The video has been seized by the police. The primary suspects have been identified based on the video and will be taken into custody shortly, according to Dera Bassi Police Station officials.

Campus Panic, Concerned Parents
Students on campus and in the surrounding neighborhoods are in a state of panic as a result of this violent incident that happened outside the institution in broad daylight. Concerned about the security measures, the parents of the kids have called on the college administration to provide more security. The issue is presently being looked into by the authorities from the perspective of rivalry.

In Mohali, Punjab, a mobster and the Punjab Police got into a fight close to Kharar. The offender was on a bicycle. He began firing on the police squad despite their signals for him to cease. The mobster was hit by a bullet as payback. The thug who was hurt has been transported to the hospital.

Two female teachers were accused by the Chandigarh Education Department of using derogatory language against a TGT instructor and a principal. The issue had made its way to Gulab Chand Kataria, the administration of the Chandigarh Education Department. The teacher and the principal have now been moved. After the transfer order, the complaining instructors released another video, sparking a fresh uproar.

They claimed they had not received justice in the 4-minute-35-second video. They said, “Administrator Sir, the Chandigarh Administration has enforced the uniform in the schools of Chandigarh, but Sir, you have not been able to achieve uniformity.”

A woman with injuries was admitted to the hospital.

Five or six young guys attacked a mom and her six-year-old son in Mohali, Punjab. The attack caused damage to both the mother and the infant. Both are in critical condition and have been admitted to the Civil Hospital in Kharar. The attack’s motivation is yet unknown. The woman claimed that the goons’ faces were hidden.

According to reports, the tragedy happened late on Friday night, November 7, 2025, at Deep Homes-2 in the Kharar area, close to Gillco Valley. According to Monica, the victim, her kids were riding bikes in the street late at night. She was folding laundry in the courtyard after calling the kids back when five or six goons with covered faces unexpectedly entered.

Monica fell after a young man attacked her with a rod. The second young man then launched a sharp weapon attack. While attempting to save her kid, Prithvi, also known as Chintu, Monica suffered severe damage to her hand. The accused also hurt her son by hitting him in the head with sticks during this time.

Two young people have been detained by Mohali’s Dera Bassi Police on suspicion of snatching. Along with the cash and documents that were taken from the accused, the police have found the motorbike that was used in the event. On Friday (today), the two accused will appear in court in Dera Bassi.

Inspector Sumit Mor, the station in-charge, reported that the event happened close to the Shiv Mandir in Dera Bassi. Raman Kumar, the victim, was surrounded by two young people riding motorcycles. After getting off the bike, the accused led Raman Kumar to a remote location and stole his purse. Cash and numerous crucial documents were in the purse.

The Fazilka police near Mohali have detained Akali leader Varadev Singh Noni Maan of the Fazilka area.

The incident had to do with a disagreement that arose during the Panchayat elections in Jalalabad. He was accused of shooting rounds during the altercation.

Noni Maan was one of numerous people who were booked in this incident, and one person was hurt by a bullet. But in this instance, Naradev Singh Bobby Maan, the president of the Fazilka Rural Akali Dal District and brother of Noni Maan, has already been taken into custody.

Harpinder Singh Maan, the son of Noni Maan, revealed that the Fazilka District Police had taken his father into custody. He was brought before the Jalalabad Court following the arrest.

The government attorney, however, requested a five-day police remand for his father. His father’s attorney refuted this, claiming that his uncle, Naradev Singh Bobby Maan, had already been taken into custody.

Court Issues a Three-Day Remand
He added that the police had already demonstrated the weapon’s recovery. The Court placed his father, Varadev Singh Noni Maan, under three days of police remand after hearing arguments from all sides. The Jalalabad police filed a case at the City Jalalabad police station against Akali leader Varadev Singh Noni Maan, former Shiromani Akali Dal Lok Sabha candidate from Firozpur Naradev Singh Bobby Maan, and other unidentified individuals after one person was shot.

On Wednesday morning, indiscriminate gunfire occurred at the home of a hotel owner and a councillor’s relative in Chandigarh. Four bullets were fired towards the residence by two attackers on a bike. An automobile parked inside the property also had its windscreen broken during this time.

The miscreants ran away after the event. Several bullet casings were found when the police arrived at the scene. The police have begun searching for the attackers and have established a siege (nakabandi) in the city.

CCTV cameras around the city are also being searched for this. According to the police, family members’ comments are also being recorded, which could disclose the cause of the termination.

Sector 38C is where the house is located.
The residence where the shooting occurred is located in Chandigarh’s Sector 38C. It is owned by Veer Singh, a Mohali contractor and operator of the Diljot Hotel.

Councillor Devinder Singh Babla, a relative of Veer Singh, stated that he has no personal animosity towards anyone. Police are currently looking into the situation and reviewing the local CCTV footage.

Relation to Earlier Firing
The authorities believe that this firing is connected to a prior firing incident that happened at Veer Singh’s hotel. The Lawrence Gang’s possible involvement in this firing is also being looked into. Similar incidents occurred on September 25, 2025, at a gym owner’s home in Mohali and at the Diljot Hotel in Kajheri, Sector 49, Chandigarh. Police are looking into whether the two incidents featured the same criminals.

A young man who was hurt in an accident on the Jagraon-Ludhiana-Ferozepur Highway in Punjab passed away while receiving medical attention. Dalbir Singh, a resident of Pudaing village, has been identified as the deceased. The accident was reported to the Jagraon Sadar police station by the relatives of the deceased, Baldev Singh.

The lawsuit states that on the evening of October 30, Dalbir Singh, a welder, was employed at the Grand Orchid Resort, which is situated across the street from the village of Gauhar. He had gone to a wayside restaurant, or dhaba, for dinner late at night. A fast-moving vehicle from the Mullanpur side struck him as he was crossing the highway returning to the resort after dining.

Dalbir suffered severe injuries in the collision. He was admitted to a hospital in Ludhiana right away by those in attendance. Doctors sent him to Chandigarh because of his serious condition. While receiving treatment this morning, Dalbir Singh passed away.

A police squad responded to the information by coming to the area, seizing the body, and sending it for a post-mortem examination. The body would be given to the family following the post-mortem, according to Investigating Officer ASI Inderjeet. The police have opened an investigation and filed a case against the driver of the unidentified vehicle.

The deceased patient’s family has filed an appeal with the court, claiming that their father was hospitalized for a knee surgery. However, his oxygen levels decreased as a result of improper postoperative care, and he died as a result.

In this regard, the son of the deceased has petitioned the High Court for justice. The Mohali administration responded by telling the court that a four-person committee had been formed and that it would take a month to finish its inquiry. The Mohali administration will then present its report at the next hearing on December 17.
