As part of an ongoing terror probe, the Delhi Police Special Cell has arrested three more suspects connected to the module and discovered ties to Pakistan.

According to investigators, the group’s key member, Ashraf Danish, was operating the module from India while maintaining contact with Pakistan-based individuals via encrypted and social media platforms. The probe has revealed that the suspects used these channels to radicalize youth in India and recruit them into their network.

As part of a large-scale counterterrorism operation, raids were carried out in four to five states, questioning over eight people, officials said. Five people, including two from Delhi and one each from Madhya Pradesh, Hyderabad, and Ranchi, have been detained thus far on suspicion of engaging in terrorism-related activities.

A cache of suspicious materials, live ammo, and a Danish-made firearm were discovered in the custody of one of the detained individuals. Hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, sulfur powder, copper sheets, ball bearings, strip wires, electronic circuits, computers, cell phones, and cash were all found on him by the Delhi Police Special Cell. According to authorities, these goods were meant to be used in the production of explosives and weapons.

Following the attack, CM Gupta expressed her amazement but assured everyone that she is feeling better now. She described the assault as a cowardly attempt against her efforts for Delhi’s welfare. In a post shared on X, she wrote in Hindi about how this attack was not just against her but also against their commitment to serve Delhi.

“The attack on me during this morning’s public hearing was not just an attack on me but a cowardly attempt on our resolve to serve Delhi and work for the welfare of the people,” she stated. She also requested her well-wishers not to worry or visit her unnecessarily

Reaction of the Public

The Chief Minister sent his sincere appreciation to everyone who sent love and blessings following the incident. In her post, she expressed gratitude, writing, “I express my heartfelt gratitude for your immense love, blessings, and good wishes.” Authorities are still investigating this matter and are looking for additional information.

Rajesh Sakriya, a native of Rajkot, Gujarat, has been identified as the attacker of Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta.

His mother, Bhanu, told the media that Rajesh loves dogs and was angered by the Supreme Court’s recent decision to collect stray canines in Delhi NCR and take them to shelters after Delhi Police contacted his family. According to some reports, Sakaria, 41, attended the public meeting to ask the Chief Minister for assistance following the arrest of a relative. We await Delhi Police’s formal reaction.

“My son adores canines. The Supreme Court’s ruling against stray dogs infuriated him. and shortly thereafter departed for Delhi. We don’t know anything else,” Bhanu, Sakriya’s mother, told reporters.

Witnesses claim that Sakriya brought some documents to the Chief Minister. He began to yell during the conversation and then assaulted her. Although it hasn’t been verified yet, some witnesses said he looked intoxicated.
