Punjabi singer Parmish Verma injured during shooting in Haryana:Car’s window shattered from a bullet; glass hit his face. He says, “I’m fine” on Instagram.

A bullet struck Parmish Verma’s automobile during a shooting in Ambala, Haryana, injuring the Punjabi singer and actor. He was admitted right away to a private hospital for treatment following the event.

Parmish is actually currently in Ambala filming his next movie, Shera. A fictitious gunshot was fired at Parmish Verma’s automobile during one take on Monday, shattering the car’s window. Parmish was hurt when the shattered glass struck his face because he was in the car at the time.

Following his treatment, Parmish has returned to Chandigarh, and the film’s production has been put on hold.

Despite the fact that the entire occurrence has not been officially confirmed, Parmish posted a picture of the broken glass on the car seat on his Instagram account. along with the caption, “By God’s grace, I am fine.” Parmish posted the image to his Instagram story, and it makes the broken glass on the car seat quite visible.

Parmish Verma was the first person targeted by gangsters.

Coming back from a flat with thugs all around: Parmish Verma was on his way back to his apartment in Sector-91, Mohali, on the evening of April 13, 2018, following a program in Chandigarh. Gangster Dilpreet Baba and his associates began pursuing him around this period.

Even after being shot, he kept driving: they halted his vehicle and fired bullets when they arrived at Sector 91. Parmish phoned the then-SSP Kuldeep Singh Chahal while driving the car six km despite his injuries. He was then brought to Fortis Hospital.

Extortion attack: Following an altercation, Dilpreet Baba was taken into custody by the police in July 2018. It came to light during questioning that he had extorted Parmish out of 20 lakh rupees. The Mohali court is still considering this matter.

In the movie, Diljit will reportedly play Flying Officer Nirmal Jit Singh Sekhon — the only Indian Air Force officer to receive the Param Vir Chakra. Sekhon is remembered for bravely defending the Srinagar Air Base during the 1971 war. On July 17, the Indian Air Force also celebrated Sekhon’s 80th birth anniversary, and Diljit posted his photo on Instagram Stories in tribute.

Diljit was spotted at Amritsar airport with his manager Sonali Singh and the film’s director Anurag Singh. Actors Rana Daggubati, Vijay Deverakonda, Prakash Raj, and Lakshmi Manchu have been summoned by the agency. According to ED officials, these celebrities promoted online betting apps like Junglee Rummy, JeetWin, and Lotus365 on social media. These apps are now under investigation for illegal activities.

The ED suspects these apps were presented as gaming platforms but were actually used for unregulated betting, with money being transferred through foreign accounts.

The actors will be questioned under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). ED sources say some celebrities have claimed they didn’t know the apps were illegal and believed they were simply doing brand promotions.

The investigation is based on five FIRs filed by Telangana Police. The ED is now trying to find out how much money was made through these promotions and whether the celebrities knowingly took part in the illegal activities. More names may be added to the case as it progresses.

A Bench comprising Justices Surya Kant and Joymalya Bagchi emphasized that while the accused in the Kanhaiya Lal murder case cannot be compensated for reputational damage if the film is released, the filmmakers can be compensated monetarily if the release is delayed.

The film’s release, initially scheduled for July 11, was stayed by the Delhi High Court on July 10 after petitions claimed it could incite communal disharmony. One such petition was filed by Maulana Arshad Madani, president of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind and principal of Darul Uloom Deoband.

The apex court directed the Centre’s committee to hear all parties, including the accused, and take a swift decision without delay. The panel was scheduled to meet at 2:30 pm on Wednesday.

Udaipur Files is based on the June 2022 murder of tailor Kanhaiya Lal in Udaipur by Mohammad Riyaz and Mohammad Ghous, who claimed it was retaliation for a social media post supporting former BJP leader Nupur Sharma. The NIA is investigating the case, and trial is ongoing in a special NIA court in Jaipur.

According to local police, a man sitting in a parked car fired at least nine bullets into the front window of the café. Thankfully, no one was injured, but the property was damaged. Authorities are now reviewing CCTV footage and bullet evidence as part of their investigation.

The attack has been claimed by Harjit Singh Laddi, a Khalistani terrorist based in Germany. He is linked to the banned group Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) and is listed among India’s most wanted by the National Investigation Agency (NIA). According to officials, the raids are being held at over 15 places, including the homes of Morea, his brother, some contractors, and others involved in the case.

The case is being investigated under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). It is linked to an earlier FIR registered by the Mumbai Police’s Economic Offences Wing (EOW), which is looking into irregularities in the Mithi river desilting work.

Dino Morea was recently questioned by the EOW in connection with this case. So far, 13 people — including BMC officials and contractors — have been named in the FIR. They are accused of manipulating tenders to benefit certain suppliers, which allegedly led to a loss of Rs 65 crore to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).

The Mithi river, which flows through Mumbai and empties into the Arabian Sea, plays an important role in the city’s drainage system.
